Pizza crust à la Thomas

1 envelope (1/4 oz) dry yeast
1 tbsp sugar
1 1/4 cups warm water
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp salt
1 tbsp oil

  1. Combine sugar, water, and yeast, and let stand for 5 minutes.
  2. Combine flour and salt, and slowly add oil and the yeast mixture.
  3. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead for five minutes.
  4. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise about 1 hour or until doubled.
  5. Bake at 450 F until somewhat done.
