24 oz ground beef (85% lean)
1 1/2 cups onion, chopped
1 cup dry bread crumbs
2/3 cup ketchup
2/3 cup fresh parsley, chopped
3 eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine all ingredients into a large bowl, and knead until well blended.
- Grease a 9 x 5 loaf pan, and fill with meat mixture, mounding the top.
- Bake 1 to 1 1/4 hours, until the meat loaf is firm to the touch and has shrunk from the sides of the pan. Pour off excess fat and serve.
